M5-581T-6807 (My 20Gig SDD is too full - can't update Windows!)

Okay, Hi everyone, I have had my new (bought used) M5-581T-6807 and can't install latest updates from Microsoft. I have about 1 gig free memory, & have used D: path, also partitioning to run one large program in an M: drive (mapped). I have turned off hibernation, indexing, and I believe I have no other ways to free more memory easily. I am not sure I can upgrade the SSD 20 Gig to a 110 dollar 240 Gig SSD. That would be nice, but money is tight at this point in time. The computer came with Windows 8, but I bought it with Windows 7 Ultimate on it, needed at least Win 7 Professional.

My HDD drive is fine at 450 Gigs, I have hardly started to fill it.

Any help with this would be appreciated! I have a good imaging program to back up my SDD drive & HDD drive. I don't have any recovery disks or operating system, so imaging is a must for me.

I just want to be able to use this machine, I like it's fast speed, but getting most things loaded onto the D: drive is taking more of my programming time (my skills are in software) and making me a hardware person (my skills are average at least).

Thank you.

Warm regards,

Bob
