FT200HQL monitor touchscreen not working w/ HP Pavilion dv7-5000

After researching and purchasing the FT200HQL touchscreen, it doesn't work w/ my HP Pavilion dv7-5000 laptop, Windows 7, 64 bit.  I do have the USB cable plugged in (even though it says it's optional in the User's Guide - not optional if you want the touchscreen to work).  I've tried it w/ an Acer, Gateway and another HP Pavilion laptop (all Win 7), & it works perfectly w/ them but not w/ mine.  All my drivers are up to date.  (Although there's no driver on Acer's website for the FT200HQL for Win 7 & I don't think what they have listed as a driver for Win 8 is a driver).  A search of Microsoft for a driver for the FT200HQL shows one, but it says mine is up to date.  Please help!  I really like the monitor & don't want to send it back, but I bought it mainly for the touchscreen feature.

Posted this on Microsoft & HP forums also.  A support engineer, Amit K. Verma, w/ Microsoft replied w/ several suggestions & what worked was updating the Display Adapter.  My touchscreen now works!  Woohoo!  Amit ROCKS!
