Acer Aspire V3-571G-6602 shutting off randomly

Problem started within the last month and I've had this laptop for almost 2 years.  About a month ago, I noticed my laptop was very sensitive to movement. If I moved the laptop around, a lot of times it would just turn off.  Sometimes static lines would appear across the screen and freeze the computer until I manually turned it off and sometimes the computer would just turn off itself.  Yesterday, for the first time, the laptop randomly shut down while I was browsing the internet and plugged in to charger.  Today the same thing happened three times.  The laptop is not overheating and I am unsure what is causing this problem.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jason

    How did you determine this?

    manually feeling the heat on the sides and it doesn't shut off when I am playing games, which generates alot more heat.  I also have programs that look at GPU, CPU temp, and hard drive temp.

    Have you had any of the cpvers off to service the machine? Sounds like something is being grounded that shouldn't be.

    cpvers? I have not open or modified the laptop at all.  It's never been taken to the shop or serviced in any way and I have never dropped it either.

    OK. Have you had any transitory or intermittent cold or warm boot issues?

    sometimes the computer will restart itself after the shutdown and other times it will just remain shutdown so I would have to turn it on again manually.  Also sometimes it just freezes so i have to restart it manually.

    Does this also mean there sometimes are intermittent boot issues after a normal Win shutdown or re-start?

    the shutdowns seem pretty random.  happened two more times today.  If I shut my computer down normally and boot up normally, it seems to make no difference

    Would it be possible for you to leave the screen lid open in one position for a day or two so the hinges aren't moved? Don't close it when you're done for the day and power down. Don't adjust the screen other than maybe moving the whole machine. See if by not moving the screen hinges, the random shutdowns cease.

    Over the weekend, I did not really move the laptop much and I did not have any random shutdowns.  I am not sure if this is a coincidence or not.  Generally, I did not move the laptop much at all even when I had random shutdowns;

    Me neither at this point. So if possible, keep movement to a minimum for another day or so. If it still doesn't have another random shutdown, then you likely need a new video ribbon. Only about $25 from Amazon  http://www.amazon.com/Aspire-E1-521-E1-531-V3-531G-V3-571G/dp/B00FYG5S8E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397481889&sr=8-1&keywords=V3-571G+video+cable  .
