Acer Revo 70 HD Audio cannot start

Hi, I bought this nettop with a linux operating system and a linux bios on it, I then formatted it and installed windows 7 64bit and flashed the bios to a windows 7 one as well.

The install went fine, but there seems to be an issue with the High Definition Audio Controller because it wont start (code 10). I have installed all the necessary drivers off the Acer website, but the device still wont start. This device particularly controls the sound output from the HDMI port.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried reinstalling the "ATI Catalyst" software?

Yes I've tried reinstalling the "ATI Catalyst" software, I've installed every single bit of software on the Acer Revo 70 support page and still have the issue.

    Hello.

Uninstall audio driver through "programs and features" in control panel.
Check device manager and make sure it is gone from there too.
Restart computer. then go here for your Audio Driver.....

    global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Audio/Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6487_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634614368259305234&Step1=Revo&Step2=Revo&Step3=RL70&OS=701&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=EMEA_27

    Install, and reboot pc.

If you do not still have sound then try the Microsoft fix here....

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=windows-7&v1h=win8tab1&v2h=win7tab1&v3h=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

my advice would be to run the Mr Fixit for hardware issues in Step 2. ( go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=260596 )

    Regards

P.S. Inform me if something will change.
