Aspire V3-772G-9829 - Elan SmartPad Driver Issues

I just got this computer and after using an HP with a pretty good Synaptics driver for 3 years, I am sorely missing my cursor momentum. It's driving me crazy that I cannot enable it with this touchpad. There are keys for it in the registry and when you enable them they show up on the mouse properties/gestures screen, however they lack functionality. This has occured in Windows 8 and 8.1. Does anyone know how to enable this feature or know of an alternative driver that works better than the one available here?

Thanks!

Please re-check the Elan drivers --- there are two versions. (Win 8.1) 11.6.28.201 and (Win8) 11.6.19.204

    Thanks

Have you tried both Elans listed?

One is the Elan driver, the other is a synaptics driver. I've tried the synaptics driver but when they are installed I have absolutely no gesture control at all.

That worked, thanks JackE! I had not even noticed the drop down box there. Smiley Very Happy
