After ACER replaced hard drive in my M5-481PT 3 month ago hard drive is dead again.

Original hard drive was replaced with one without eRestore and now that my original warranty is gone and Acer not providing warranty for their "repairs" I can't even reach anyone to talk to about it.

Is there a number or place I can register complaint ?

I mean even mom&pop shops around here warrant their repairs.

    Which country are you in ? Best to telephone your countries Acer support number.

     

    In the UK for instance I know that any part replaced has a warranty of 3 months.  Once passed that timescale, warranty no longer applies.

     

    Normally when a HDD is replaced it is put back to factory default and there will be a hidden partition with the recovery data on it.

     

    However, the user really should make their own backup set of discs when they first power up their unit, the warning pop-ups happen and I reckon 99% of the itme the user just ignores it and checks the box not to be reminded again........................

    US, and there is no phone number to call here Smiley Sad
    The drive didn't have recovery on it. 

    I managed to get thru via chat and laptop been repaired since (haven't receive it back yet).
