Acer Liquid E2 touch button fault

Hi guys, so I've had my E2(non duo) for a few months haven't had a problem at all until I updated my software to 1.012 (4.2.1 to 4.2.2) that popped up on my phone the other day.
The touch panel buttons below the sclikeen often flash on and off quickly a few times, when the phone is unlocked and in use. If the screen is off this doesn't happen. as soon as I unlock the phone it flashes twice... and other times like when I'm typing, playing games and just browsing in general it happens. I dont know if its down to the update as my dad has the same phone and his doesn't seem to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
Also ive just managed to turn myself into a developer by tapping on the build number quite a few times... what does that actually mean? Lol... first it said 5 steps away from being a developer, then 4etc and the last time it said you are now a developer?
Just want to say though, these are great phones, I "downgraded" from my old sgs3 and the battery life is impressive on these, plus the quad core processor makes it nice n fast. Smiley Happy
