My Acer Iconia W700 Windows 8 tablet went very slow and buggy after installing Windows 8.1 update.

I have tried making it fast and less buggy by installing care sorfware like Advanced Care 7, Jet Clean but it still very slow and buggy.

Can anyone help me to make my Acer Iconia W700 fast again and not buggy just like before the Windows 8.1 update

Is it possible to go back to Windows 8 from 8.1?

Thanks

Its the power settings. You need to set max performance when on battery. As a test if you plug in the charger the issue should go away.

there are quite a few threads on here addressing it

    copied from a different post

To solve the slow down issue, you need to go to Edit the Power Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings > Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Settings > Low Power Mode Setting and change from enable to Application Specific or Disable.

    Heres the fix..

    Go to Control panel

    select Power option

    Set  it to 'Balanced'

    select 'Change options'

    select 'Change advanced options'

find 'Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework settings'

    click +

    open Low Power Settings

disable both On Battery and Plugged in.

    Thanks.

My Acer 700(i5 core) is running nearly back to normal and as fast. Smiley Happy

But I have one problem when i am watching a video on Youtube and i try to watch it in FULL sceen.

It takes a long time(over 5 seconds) to go to watch the Youtube video in FULL sceen and the video freezes while i am doing it.

I have Adobe Flash player installed and Firefox.

And i have NEVER had this problem before the Windows 8.1 update.

Can anyone help me to fix the problem please?
