    Hi frwl

You could try to remove the motherboard battery to reset the BIOS.

If the PC still fails to boot with the new processor, it can only be:

    1. A faulty processor

    2. Not compatible with your motherboard (is it the right socket processor for it?)

Well, it can only be one of the two points I mentioned in my earlier post.

Do you have another compatible motherboard you can try the new processor in?

OK, if the CPU is definately working, it can only be the wrong type for your motherboard, or it is not supported in BIOS.

Will your seller swap it for you?

The bios is updated to the last version, in the laptop manual that processor is listed as supported. The old and new proc look the same, the new one enters by himself in the socket but i have no video, put the old back an i have video.
I`ll have. To talk with the seller for a refund, but ut would be nice if that proc would work...

Ah, as I thought then - the motherboard was not compatible.

Oh well, at least you've now found the reason!
