Aspire V5 Sleep Mode Problem

Hi! My Aspire V5, purchased in September 2013, is working fine, except that whenever it goes into sleep mode (when closing the lid, Fn+sleep or automatically) it won't start again. Each time I have to restart the computer by pressing the On button for several seconds. This worries me because it is necessary for me to be constantly closing the lid, and then open it to carry on with work, so this problem has become a true impediment.

Thanks in advance!!

    ioq,

I understand how this can hinder your work and daily activities. When coming out of sleep mode it could be that the computer is having a problem resuming a program running in the background. Before you place your notebook in sleep/hibernate make sure all your files are saved and close all open programs and see if this makes a difference.

One thing you can do is adjust the Windows power options and I would suggest working with the different settings to see if that makes a difference.

If this does not work you can try reloading your operating system to factory defaults to rule out any problem with the operating system.

    Acer-Ryan,

I played around with the settings of the Power options, and I after several tries, I set it in "Hybrid sleep" and it is finally doing what I need. This way, I don't need to close all the programs and I can resume my work when I restart the computer.

Thanks so much for your help!
