I'm facing much slowness in Iconia 801 after upgraded to windows 8.1, especially when I'm surfing youtube.

Almost everyday I need to restart tablet 1 or 2 times. I checked my acer tablet and asus tablet at same internet connection and found problem only with Acer tab 801, also done many trial and error method by changing the settings, but still problem lies there only.

Last option I feel is to visit acer service centre at IBP.

Sluggish response in new gadget is most frustating thing, I believe.

Please suggest.

thanks

    Did you try:

To solve the slow down issue, you need to go to Edit the Power Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings > Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Settings > Low Power Mode Setting and change from enable to Application Specific or Disable.

Does it happen when the tablet is plugged in, or only when you are running on the battery?

Hi, This slowness is everyday happening while runnig on battery, I didn't try while plugged in .

Also by mistakenly I mentioned model as W801 , its W701.

I don't remember whether this huge slowness was with windows 8 or or not?

Because I've upgraded windows 8.1 immediate after launch and from that day I found this problem.

    Thanks for your guideline

I checked both the options, plugged in and with battery, and found better results while plug-in.

I discussed with online support but I was consitently informed to restore to widows 8.0 and try again, but I don't want to erase my files. So option left for me is visit Acer singapore service centre @ IBP but their timing is too inconvenient.

Lets see, but this moment I think its a bettery problem..

    Thanks

    Hello,

    I have the same problem.

where I can find this settings?

    settings.jpg

Is there a driver missing? I have installed the INTEL DPTF-Driver?

But I have no idea, where I can manipulate them.

    Thanks.
