      Eek...sounds like the hard drive may not be good anymore. Do you have your recovery disks? You would need them anyway if the hard drive needs to be replaced.

      No.. I have no recovery disk...can I install another windows disk in it tho?  How would i go about that?

      You would need to put the CD in the Cd rom and press f12, then choose the CD/DVD drive to boot up off of and then go from there. I still would call support for a set of recovery disks. Is this comptuer still in warranty?

      no the warrantry ran out the day before christmas...grrrr

      Oh, sorry, press f12 when you turn ON the computer. Sorry, I just read that.

      You can still call support. They do have a grace period.

      i know they won't do a chat with me because of the warranty being out...i will try to phone them...I appreciate your help..thank you  Smiley Happy
