My CD/DVD drive does not work will not burn CDs.

I have tried the Sync button, but nothing happens, it tells me to connect a 'Burner'. It does not seem to recognise the blank disc.

I have tried several different makes of CDs. (These same discs work in other members of my families laptops etc)

    What model system do you have?

    What operating system?

    Please let us know also what optical media types, brands, etc you are using.

    Thanks for your reply. My Acer model is an Aspire 5532, and I have Windows 7.

    Are you able to burn discs with another program?

    It sounds like there may be an issue with the drive.

    I am having the same problem. My Acer model 5472 will longer burn cds, how can I fix this problem?
