Hi everyone. I have my w500 installed with windows 8 pro and have some Bluetooth problems with playback on  2 different bluetooth portable speakers. The sound breaks up now and then  on both and the speakers are new

I installed the win 8 Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth suite and also there's a win 8.1 Atheros Bluetooth suite for this particular Qualcomm wifi and bluetooth combo card which I  Installed and it also has some soud cracking. The 5 bars showing signal strength for either speaker shows from 3 to 4 bars and it fluctuates. Speakers were placed near and far to a distance of 15 feet plus

I took part the tablet and cleaned the Atheros half mini PCI-E card with contact spray cleaner, also sprayed and dried the card itself and electrical taped the card to its small circuit board, I also sprayed the ribbon that attaches this card to the motherboard on its 2 ends and re-soldered the speaker wire contacts which are on the motherboard

I get better bluetooth reception also when the my Bluetooth mouse I'm using is turned off

anybody else getting Bluetooth transmission glitching and any remedies

thanks

I edited the subject to be inline with your issue.

A couple suggestions I can provide would be to reload the Acer default image if you've upgraded to Win 8 Pro retail to ensure that you're running the Acer qualified system and drivers.

Maybe others can share their experience if they're running into this issues as well?

thanks for the help, I have a new windows 8 pro  RTM  version  6.2.9200 Build 9200 install,...its not a windows 8 upgrade of the stocl windows 7 home premium the tablet came with

I'll do the updates for the windows 8 and see if the bluetooth transmission glitches diminishes

I could just have a faulty wifi-bluetooth Qualcomm atheros card

    thank you
