Speaker sound not working on iconia A1 810

I have a Acer iconia A1 810 Tablet one month old. Just recently the speaker went out on me. When I plug in headphones its good. When I don't have headphones plugged in, I don't hear anything. What do you think the problem is and what should I do?

    I must add that I did factory reset + hardware reset without any imporovment.

    It looks like you're in the US and if you have a unit from US or Canada unit you can go to our get support page and head into the Fix my Acer section to place a warranty request if your tablet is in warranty.

    I'm traveling in the Middle East at the moment but I bought my unit in Italy. Seems that's the reason why the live chat service doesn't accept my serial number.
    My unit still under warranty.
    Any suggestions??

    Thank you for your reply.

    I just visited the local authorized technical support in Jordan. They kept the unit to exam it. But they said that my guarantee will not be valid in the Middle East because I purchased the unit in Italy.

    Is that the case you think?

    Were you able to solve this? I have exactly the same problem. 1 month old A1, speaker stopped working, headphones work.

    Correct me if I am wrong but does not all Acer Products come with a 1 year Travelers Warranty to cover just these types of situations?

    Problem Solved.

    My unit is still under warrantee, so I sent it to the maintenance (UK) and was fixed and returned swiftly. (3 days)

    or what was the cause of the problem ?

    Unless you stay in at least daily contact with them, Through their chat which is only avalible here in the U.S.A, Or maybe call into the repair Depot that has your tablet, About all they will tell you is example: System OS reloaded system passes all test.

    Without anytype of explanation of what was wrong with it to begin with.

     

    So unless you constantly bug them like I did with mine while it was in the repair Depot you'll never know what really was a wrong with it.   GOOD LUCK! If you are having the sametype of problem.
