Very bad support commercial courtesy

I bought a W501 on 31.01.2012 and upgraded it to Win8; some devices (3g, g-sensor) didn't work fine so i tried so different drivers. At the end i tried also to upgrade bios fw upgrade but after reboot tablet doesnt start. I contacted the support via chat and they said i have to send it to the support center cause probably upgraded didnt succeeded correctly. I thing isn't not my fault cause the bios driver is on acer official support page ... but nothing, they said i had to pay because warrenty expired ... yes, 6 days ago ... really a bed experience i never had with other brands ... fault is clearly their side but i had to pay Smiley Sad no more acer !!!

    I'm sorry for the trouble you're having. I've forwarded your information on for our support teams to review, but I might suggest contacting them again and fully explaining the issue.

     

    With that said, Acer cannot take responsibility for a BIOS update failing unless there is an issue with the BIOS we're providing. If the update failed as part of any other number of reasons, that is not within Acer's control. In this case, the latest BIOS update was released in September 2011, if there was an issue with that file, it would have been identified by now.

    yes, i understand but bios upgrade is simply, more if done via win process as i did; that's why the customer support also wrote me that probably is due to a MB factory fault ... so i said that that problem was there before this occasion and show itself only because this kind of upgrade done just now; anyway, in my experience not regarding IT only, other brands were comprehensive whan warrenty expired date was so close the prb ... i'm really disappointed about so inflexible behavior Smiley Sad it's my first experience with acer, probably the last ...

    Upgrade:

    i'm really happy and satisfied about a call recevied today from the Acer Center that announces me the problem was caused by a MB malfuncion (it's dead) expecially because the replacement will be under warranty Smiley Happy yuppie !!

    i couldn't think that a world wide company as Acer could be so stern for just a few days.

    Thx to Acer that earn my trust again Smiley Happy
