How to reinstall Intel Control Center?

I clicked Intel Control Center under Programs and Features, and it uninstalled it.  I did not mean to do that.  How do I reinstall it?  I have an Aspire M5-481PT running Windows 8.1.  Thanks!

    Hi Buzz!

    Try the following options:

From the start screen, type Acer Recovery Management and select the result. Click on the "Reinstall Drivers or Applications" option, then look for the Intel Control Center. Then select Install. If it isn't listed

Go to the Acer support site & select the Drivers & Manuals option. Enter the details of your PC then select your OS, then check for your program.

Finally, if it's not listed there, go to Intel's download site and download it from there.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply.  The installers are in the Intel Management Software Installation Guide.  However, when I click the Setup.exe file, it returns a message that "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."  I used by SNID and the correct OS to get the drivers from Acer, so I dont know what that is happening.

On the Intel website, in the Download Center (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng), the options make no sense.  There's no simply "Intel Control Center" download.  They ask for a product family (I assume notebooks), a product line (I assume verified by Intel????), and then a bewildering list of "product names" that make absolutely no sense to me.  What on earth am I looking for??????

  • The Intel Control Center forms part of the Intel Active Management Technology driver installation (SetupICC.exe).
It is available for the M5-581TG model (Intel iAMT Driver) running Win7 but not Win8.
For the M5-481PT, I can find no trace of Acer having made it available for Win7 or 8.

Interesting - I was finally able to set up the Management Engine last night, and Intel Control Center did not reappear.  And, there seems to be nothing wrong with how the computer is operating.  Now I'm just curious about why it showed up in my Programs and Features to begin with.  But if everythings keeps running smoothly, I'll get over it.   Thanks!
