Jellybean 4.2.2

Screen lock = Slide

Encryption = I am not using PIN or password

Cannot change any settings in that panel. All the selections are "grayed out".

I think if you opted to choose PIN in security, the other greyed out options would become available.

That doesn't work. There is no access at all to anything in the security settings panel.

Are you saying that you can't even change the screen lock option ?

    That is correct...unfotunately!

Have a read through this thread particularly if the "clear credentials" option is available to you in the security settings :

No luck with any of those.

BTW, I have McAfee Mobile Security installed.

Have you ever set up , or do you have a VPN ( virtual private network) on your device ? It's one thing else which can affect your security settings. I have AV on my device, Avast, it has not affected my security settings, you could disable McAfee and check, will keep looking and get back to you if I come up with anything further.

No VPN set up on my tablet.

I saw that some one else described the same problem on another website, but there were no response. McAfee doesn't mess with the security settings unless you perform a lock from a PC or MAC if your device is lost or stolen.
