    • dead touchpad on Acer Aspire V5

    tried the FN F7, tried the uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, the touchpad is SOMEWHAT responsive (e.g. if i push my entire palm accross it will make the arrow move sporadically) but not useable. Any ideas? This laptop is ~1 year old and shouldn't have a faulty touchpad this soon but at this point I can't think of anything other than a physical/hardware issue.

      That definitely sounds like something that should be looked at by your regional Acer service center.
