Iconia A210 Stuck at "Turning on WiFi"

Hi, I've had my A210 for just over a year, when suddenly I now cannot connect to my router.

The message on the tablet is "No internet connection" and the settings indicate "Turning on wifi"

Have investigated and tried lots but problem persists. 

It appears either hardware or system as its struggling to even turn wifi on (ie cant even scan for networks)

Nothing changed when this first happened .... I was browsing then it stopped and I cant restart it. 

All other wifi machines in my home still connect ok.

Anybody any ideas?
