Cannot remove battery

Hello,

While I have seen a million of the same topic, I cannot find the answer to my question. I have the acer aspire e1-472, and I can't for the life of me get the darn battery out! There is NO Release Latch on the base of the computer. There are simply three raised lines centred on the battery exterior. I don't want to pull too hard on the battery because I'm afraid to break it.

Does anyone else have this issue? It seems that every other laptop has a release latch, but mine does not.

Help me please!!!

The battery release catch is shown on page 29 of the user's manual and the instructions for battery installation/removal are on page 65.  If you have not got a manual you can download it from acer.com.

When I press the release slider only one side of the battery is released. Is there a way to release the stuck side?

Also I could not see the "New Post" option
