Acer Liquid E2 bluetooth problem

My liquid E2 can not connect with my touch and go navigation system of my toyota verso (new model aug 2013)

A nokia mobile phone (3 years old) works fine with my car.

Is there a solution for this?

Can't connect....you mean the 2 devices can't see each other or they can't pair?

The 2 items (toyota and liquid E2) see each other and can pair.

Only a connection does not work.

On the screen of my smartphone I see "Toyota touch and go" and on the screen of my navigation system I see "V 370" (the name of the liquid E2). When both systems ask to pair the pairing says ok.

Then the devices try to make a connection and  my navigation system says "connection aborted". With my other mobile phone (Nokia 2720) the connection works fine.

    Installed latest firmware, no succes....

Already send this problem to Acer support, but no answer yet..

If this phone does not work with my toyota then that's really a bad purchase..

So strange, i don't have problems to pair with my nissan.
Maybe you can ask to your toyota dealer to try to pair them.

Have you paired other devices apart the old nokia?

Sometimes with 3-4 paired devices the car BT system refuse to add new devices; happened to me with a Volvo and iphone 4s.

My daughter and her friend have the same smartphone 5Also Acer Liquid E2.

None of them can connect with my toyota touch and go system.

With a Peugeot 206 the acers can connect.

A friend has a Sony Xperia and can connect with the touch and go.

    ??????

    misterious things of BT.

Ask Toyota dealer if there's any update for your Touch & Go.

My toyota has the last firmware.

The Acer can also not connect with a Toyota avensis (also touch and go system)

I tried with 2 different samsung smartphones (new types) and they can connect without any problem.

There must be a software problem with the acer liquid e2 types.

I did not hear anything from Acer yet.

today i found a new update for E2 DUO (Dual SIM model)

    1.032

maybe this solved your BT problem.

if you can't find the update with the system update on settings, just reboot your phone and wait until 2 little arrows appear on the notification bar, then start to download the update with a SD inserted and update always with phone connected to the battery charge.

    E2 update 1.032

I've been asking a few questions regarding this issue. Unfortunately, I don't have a cure all resolutions but I hope I can provide some usefull information.

First we want to make sure the phone is fully updated, which it sounds like you've done. Next, you'd want to make sure that the built-in navigation system on your Toyota Verso is completely updated. Finally, I don't have the information about your car, so I had to take some educated guesses, but the Verso may not have support for the E2 Bluetooth Profile. You can check for yourself here http://www.toyota-europe.com/own/bluetooth/bluetooth_connect.tmex.

If you can confirm that the your setup with the Verso does not include support for the E2, I will pass it along to our software team. I cannot promise that support will be provided, but they'll be able to review and potentially work with Toyota if an update is possible.

    Thanks,
    Cory

My toyota is type VERSO (model aug 2013)

    System is touch and go

    Software version is 2.7.4 L

When checking this, in the list the liquid E2 is not mentioned, only the cloud mobile, liquid galant duo and liquid glow.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll forward this information to the appropriate Acer teams, however it looks like Toyota does not support the bluetooth profile of the E2. I'm not certain which group is falls on to provide that or if there are other considerations involved.

I have the same issue with the Toyota Touch & Go system in my Auris (built August 2013).

On the Toyota website I saw that it was possible to connect with a Acer Cloud Mobile and Acer Liquid Glow. Would it be possible for Acer to change their Bluetooth protocol to the ones they use for these phone? I think this might solve the issue?

    With kind regards,

    Darthy

Same problem as the other users: the pairing works but they can't connect to each other. No problem with my ZTE (smaller brand!). Will I have to change my smartphone or will Acer find US a solution? It seems the Acer service is not really efficient, no?
