I've already replaced my fan once and after 4 months the whirling/grinding fan is back!

Anyone know how to get fix this problem for good? And what is the cause!!??!

Usually dust buildup or uneven unit that causes this. It can also be caused from impact. I would say that you're not likely going to have this fixed by cleaning the fan out so you're likely looking at another replacement. That said, try to clean the fan out every so often using a can of compressed air, and avoid putting the unit on surfaces such as bedding and cloth couches, or really any other surface that can block the vent ports.

I had this issue, what fixed my problem was downloading the new BIOS update from the Acer website then installing it. After this you need to reset your BIOS:

    1) Turn off your comp

2)Turn it back on, as it iss turning on keep pushing F2 until you are at the BIOS screen

3)Press F9 to reset the BIOS to default

    4) Press F10 to save and exit.

that should reduce the fan noise at the very least.

    Hope this helps!!!
