    I am having an issue with connecting my laptop to an external monitor. I have had it setup for a few months now with no issue's. Now for some reason it stopped working.

     

    So far I have tried a few solutions:

     

    1) Install vga drivers from the Acer Support site.

    2) Install drivers from the Intel site.

    3) Reinstall Windows 8.

     

    None of these solutions have worked. Any suggestions?

     

     

    My laptop is an Acer Aspire M5-481PT

      Have you tried replacing the cable?

      Hi finlux, Thanks for your suggestion. I was able to resolve my issue by allowing Windows to detect my external monitor using Screen Resolution located in the Control Panel. At first I was using Fn + F5 which would not work. Next I tried Win + P and select Second Screen Only which also did not work. I am very happy to have this issue resolved. Smiley Happy
