Bluetooth not working in Acer Aspire V5 571P-6815 laptop after upgrading to Windows 8 Professional ?
My Samsung Galaxy Note 2 when paired up with my Acer doesn't really work. It said no device is found (in my Note 2) although my phone can pair up with other phones just fine

It could be an issue with the driver conflicts. Is your wireless card working fine on this laptop?
Follow the below steps to identify the Bluetooth adapter manufacturer.
Click on this link and select Run http://global-download.acer.com/FilesDownload/HWID/HWVendorDetection.exe
It will give you the information regarding the WLAN manufacturer.
If it's Atheros, install the following driver on this laptop: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Bluetooth/Bluetooth_Atheros_8.0.0.220_W8x64_A.zip?acerid=634991901917358533&Step1=ULTRA-THIN&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIREV5-571P&OS=8P1&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6
If it's Broadcom, install this driver: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Bluetooth/Bluetooth_Broadcom_12.0.0.1464_W8x64_A.zip?acerid=634841378830536950&Step1=ULTRA-THIN&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIREV5-571P&OS=8P1&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

Thanks vvprad,
However. I still see
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Object Path Component was not a directory object.
in the Bluetooth Audio Device in Device Manager and the bluetooth is not detected by other devices.
Any ideas? Advice would be appreciated.
Alan
PS. I can see devices from the laptop and eventually connect that way but until then, the Aspire is not visible. So I got round this.

I meant to reply this to another posting, but it might relate to this one as well
I was having trouble fully uninstalling the bluetooth drivers untill I found the 'show hidden objects' in the 'view' tab.
Right click 'Computer', select 'Manage', there click on 'Device Manager', click on the 'View' Tab and select 'Show hidden objects'. You will notice a second bluetooth device named 'Bluetooth Virtual Devices' right below 'Bluetooth'! Expand both and uninstall ALL drivers individually. Restart computer. It should RE-install all original drivers on restart. Hope it helps!

I too am experiencing problems trying to stream music from my Acer V5 571p to a bluetooth receiver, the arcom rblink.
I am told by arcom that i need a bluetooth audio driver, not just the bluetooth driver provided on the acer webpage.
I have broadcom bluetooth hardware.
Where can I find the required bluetooth AUDIO device driver?
Many thanks
