DON'T!!

Our School has purchased 15 of these tablets complete with docked keyboards. We have had them since March this year and 9!!!! months later we still only have 11 working. Acer support has been appalling they simply keep repeating do a system restore and cannot understand basic english.

System restores fail,  wireless hardware keeps failing and yet they keep saying the same mantra do a system restore.

The school has wasted thousands of pounds on these very poor quality tablets and we will definitely not be buying Acer goods again.

Bought 510 November 2012 and dock in June. Always felt overheating on right side of tablet. Now with repeated failures with 8.1 Windows update and lack of Acer or Microsoft or Intel response, I tend to agree with you that at least the original W510 is possibly a major waste of money. Also noticed in Acer update support UK this morning for W510 that only the W510 p is supported with drivers for a clean install of Windows 8.1 by Acer. So it looks as though the expensive original W510 with Clover processor won't ever support 8.1 update. Would love to see Acer comment on that issue.
