Remote or custom codes for X112 projector

Remote stopped working after a month.  Cannot get replacement, so want to program a universal remote on a Samsung phone.  The IR remote app requires a custom code for the remote, since Acer is not supported

The part number for the remote is 45.8KH01G001 by Coretronic.

Unfortunately, I do not have the control codes for the remote.  Is there a label on the bottom of the remote?

The label may give additional information regarding what we would need to use to convert to a universal remote.

Is the included remote completely inoperable?

Coretronic advise they do not deal with end-users. Remote has been operated about 12 times since projector installed at a school.  It would not switch off one day.  I went around and found that it would operate if remote was under 50mm from projector, but this is not practical for use.  I checked battery and this is 100% voltage, even under load

Since I could not fix this problem, I have supplied a new projector of different make.  It would be nice to have a unit that works properly.  Local supplier advises remotes not guaranteed, so device is nearly useless unless you operate it manually.  I have advertised unit for 1/2 cost price so we can at least recover something from it
