Good Day... Thank you very much for the help. I am having problem in my desktop... I dont know which is making the trouble... Recently I sent my pc to  a shop to have it reformated and upgraded to windows 7. The upgrade went very well... Everything was working correctly including the drivers for every device attached to the pc.. But after a few weeks of use.. I begin to experience this weird "input not supported" black screen when I start my pc appearing just after the Windows 7 loading screen... When it happened I just restarted it in safe mode and it loaded. I examined it but theres nothing wrong.. After that I restrted it and it run back to normal.. then it happened again just yesterday.. After I started my pc .. its the same "input not supported" screen appearing just after the black windows7 loading screen.. I repeated what I did and it worked well again.. This has been occuring 5 times now and I dont know what has been causing it.. I checked the cables and even plugged it on my laptop and the monitor worked well.. its just when I insert it to the desktop that it didnt work well.. May I know if there is anything I can do about this? Do I have to replace the device drivers for the monitor? Or is it the cable? or the output adapter in the back of the cpu?

It sounds like the resolution in Windows itself (not safe mode) is running at a resolution that is not supported by the monitor. It sounds like maybe an update (Windows possibly) went through that caused the issue possibly, so you can go in to safe mode and do a system restore to the last time you think it worked right, usually before the updates where installed.

I have this same issue only I cannot get into windows at all - when I turn on the monitor the Acer logo comes up briefly then the "input not supported" message - rebooting and using shift F8 does not work either, it worked fine when I shut down my monitor and pc two days ago.
