Acer S7 questions
Hi all - first time post here!
Really enjoying and loving this amazing 11.6" S7. Especially like the silver hairline pattern back and the bright screen.
However having a few problems / concerns:
1) As raised by many reviews, battery life is poor, which ideally i can tweak better. I'm a geek so i don't mind getting my hands dirty. It looks like windows is constantly doing searches in the PC, checking for system or application updates and others while i am on battery. While its nice to be constantly online and be updated, i rather only do that stuff when i'm plugged in.
I'm not sure if there is anything i can do to control updates and power usage / wifi usage? Any application suggestions? thx
2) I am alwasy not too sure if the PC is off or in sleep mode or not even off (when i've closed the lid). Any way to tell easily? Sometimes i'm worried i close the lid and its just still on so uses up battery life.
3) Their keyboard backlight is sometimes on and sometimes off. In a dark room, if i press a key, it lights up. I thought if its dark then backlight on, while bright backlight off? its a bit unpredictable.

2) You can check your basic and advanced power plan options to see what bahavior you have set for when the lid closes.
3) This is the normal behavior. If it is in a dark room but senses there is no typing it will dim the light.
