    Hi reinedd!

It seem as if your wireless adaptor has it's driver missing! If you go to Acer support for your region, click "Drivers & Manuals", then select your laptop model, you will see your wireless driver listed to install. Don't forget to choose the correct OS from the drop down menu.

    hi...

Have you installed windows 8 using the recovery disc shipped from Acer?

It would be helpful if you coul provide the exact error message that is diaplyed while connecting to WiFi network?

Open device manager and check if there is any  devices with yellow exclamation mark in the device manager?

This has happened to me before. It must be any of these to options (either worked for me in several situations):

1: Driver update. You can either get a driver update from a third party provider like Driver Pack Solutions. But I recommend you visit: us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

2: When booting your laptop, enter the BIOS menu and check the 'ADVANCED' tab or the 'BOOT' tab and check if Network boot is active. Mark it active or turn it on.

If any of these options do not work for you, although I'm positive either will, I recommend you have your wireless adapter check by a tech.
