Some of my friends receive squares when I try to send them sms.
Does anybody know how I can solve this problem?

Thanks

This sounds like an encoding problem to me. Are you sending messages with characters like à, ó, ç, Æ etc? Perhaps the E2 sends messages encoded as UTF-8, while your friends have phones that do not handle that encoding correctly.

I do not know if it is possible to change the encoding used in SMS messages on the E2 phone. I searched for it on my phone, but I still haven't found it. Maybe someone else knows how to change that?

I have the same problem on 2 acer liquid e2 bought in different countries! Probably a bug. Some SMS sent from these devices (to devices from different brands) get squares, @, or Chinese characters making part of the SMS impossible to read.

Have you tried some others SMS applications from google play?

For sure à è ì ò ù works in italian language, don't know in other languages.
    I'm not an Acer employee.
