E Recovery Disk

Well here is my problem,I have an Acer Ax3910-U4022 (Windows 7 , Intel Pentium, 1tb hdd WD) the problem is that when bought at compusa it didn't came with the recovery disk at the moment I didn't even notice but after a few months the hard drive died and i had to buy a new one this time a 500GB WD, but i don't have the recovery disk to install the OS with plus I went to acer store to buy it but it doesn't give Puerto Rico as a choice what am I  supposed to do since I need the disk and by the way the other hard drive died completely. Ooh and no warranty

    Hi Noob!

     

    If Acer can't supply you with recovery disks for your model, the only other option is to download WIndows 7 here. Make sure the one you download is the EXACT one you had on your PC. Burn it to disk using any ISO burner (like this).

     

    Go to the Acer support site for your region, and click "Drivers & Manuals". Enter the details of your PC and download all the necessary drivers/applications - either burn them to disk or save them to a memory stick.

     

    Insert the Windows 7 disk you burned in to your PC, and boot from it. Follow all on screen instructions, and let Windows load. Once completed, install the drivers/applications.

     

    Finally, apply the Windows updates - and install your programs. Make an image backup too, incase things go wrong again. Then you're good to go!
