DA220HQL: install windows on DA220HQL all in one monitor

Hi

 

I just bought an acer DA220HQL i wanted to use it for my shop as a point of sale system.

 

but i havent found any point of sale software on android so i have decider to turn my DA220HQL monitor using Windows

7 , xp any windows will do.

 

Is there any way i can still keep my android and just choose from boot menu which iso i would like to run on my monitor DA220HQL

    I was thinking you could maybe use an external hard-drive or SSD, but as there are almost no ports on it, I don't think it could be a realistic possbility.

     

    As far as setting up a dual-boot on the tablet itself, I honestly wouldn't know for sure if it's even possible...but I'd seriously doubt it. I would suggest posting in the tablet forum, as you've done so, but be sure to make a new thread, as this is a unique situation - setting up a dual-boot for an Android OS on a tablet that already has Win8 can be relatively easy, while the reverse isn't necessarily as simple.

     

    Best bet, imho, is it has an HDMI input, right? - so theoretically, you could run a laptop of some sort with Win7, hook it up to the monitor via HDMI, and hopefully be able to use the touchscreen capabilities to navigate the laptop, which you hopefully will be able to set up some PoS software on...

    Hi there are 2 usb ports on the DA220HQL

     

    how can use a external hard drive to boot with windows?
