Does anyone know what changes were made from Bios version 2.08 and the current Bios version 2.23? Also does anyone know if you need to have windows 8 on the computer to install the latest 2.23 Bios version? Any help is grateful.

Windows 8 is not required on the system to install the latest UEFI.

I would like to know why you are considering updating to v2.23.  Are you having an issue?

Hi, I just registered here because I'm having trouble with the same computer model (and Windows 8) and maybe a BIOS update would help me. Sorry for "hijacking" this thread though.

I have v2.08 as well and now for quite some time, I've been having multiple BSOD's at completely random times without having installed anything weird, always stating "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" (some days this happens multiple times, some days never). When trying to update system drivers (tried it with SlimDrivers), it downloads the updates and while installing, it crashes to the BSOD. Do you think updating the BIOS would help?

    Thanks in advance!

No, I do not believe a BIOS update would help.  The issue is not BIOS related.

All available drivers for your system are on our drivers page, linked in my signature.

Have you attempted to recover the system to factory defaults?

This would help eliminate any software issues that you may be encountering.

Haven't found anything outdated yet except for the WLAN driver, I guess I'll install that one. I didn't update that one because some friends had problems after installing it with breaking connections, I hope that is fixed though (or they were exaggerating, who knows!).

    Quick question:

When looking through these drivers, I found that for my SATA AHCI Driver, I have 12.0.0.1082 installed and the one on the page in your signature is 11.0.0.1032 (older than mine?). Why is that? When checking via the device manager, it tells me that my version is up do date... thanks again!

Ok I have updated my Bios to the lastest version, however my Laptop has gone extremely slow when I want to restart or shutdown, It aproxmately takes 2 or 3 minutes just to perform the restarting or shutting down. sometimes it stucks at shutdown page for ever and i have to hard reset it.

The reason I update my BIOS was to get rid of the issue i had with booting my laptop. (after hard reset , the computer goes to bios page giving me this msg that it can not fint the sutable booting option and i have to reset 5 or 6 time to make it work.)

However after updating my biod to 2.23 , I still have my booting problem unsolved, I have this additional problem of very LONG booting time as well.

I would not suggest to update your BIOS at all.

P.S: I have window 8.1 installed on my computer.
