Same problem here. Very slow to wake up almost every time. Also got the black and white stripes. Good to hear I'm not the only one with this problem.

there is a diskussion in a germanspeaking forum with the same problem.  standby and other feature are not supported, a half year between 8.1 preview and rtm seems not enough time for developers to write a full supportes driver.  it is so sad, its a good tablet, but to many problems makes me angry, sorry for my bad english

I am having the same issue too. Everytime it wake from sleep it takes longer than it used to and there is a message in the lower right corner that says that the graphic driver has crashed.

Smiley FrustratedSmiley FrustratedAlso seeing this problem, meaning every 4-5th time tablet is being opened, a forced shutdown and reboot is needed to be able to use it - screen doesn't wake up.

I think the observation from jovokey is key - no matter which version of the graphics driver that is used, the Intel information tool reports that all power options are not supported by the driver. This is irrespective of which version. So I have tried all the suggested versions here, and still have the same problem - and all versions report they don't support connected standby etc.

So an updated driver is needed. Please bring it soon, it should have been ready for Windows 8.1 launch.

    Update on my situation.

After a Windows 8 refresh, my tablet power options were doing some strange things, eventually found that if I switched to default power profile I was able to activate SLEEP options again. Note: I had updated the ACER BIOS before this, which appears to have taken fine.

I am not planning on putting Win8.1 back on until Acer provides a new set of drivers, or resolves this issue. I do hope we see a fix and not that ACER decide to end of life the W510 for any new updates. Which given it is a windows 8 product seems daft. Moving from one Desktop to a new one for a major windows version jump is accetable but a .1 jump is not.

Please Acer how about an update on this situation, clearly something going wrong.
