Unable to unlock OSD in Acer monitor. Any solution on this?

I tried to test the functionality of the Lock OSD. It locked the control to the menu of the monitor, but I was unable to unlock it. Model: MMTKVSP003XXXXXXXXXXX
I already pressed the menu button 3s~20s as solutions in the forums but the screen only shows OSD Lock.

Unfortunately, my last setting was on high brightness, and I can't change anything after the locking. Any solution on this?

    Hi Raymond04,

On many Acer monitors, the OSD lock state is stored in firmware. In some cases, that firmware region is write‑protected, meaning normal button sequences (e.g. holding Menu for 10–20 seconds) won’t clear it.

If the lock cannot be removed via the documented key combo, the only remaining option may be to have the firmware unlocked or reflashed by Acer Services. This requires specialized tools and access to the service firmware image, which is not publicly available.

    Next steps:

    1. Confirm you’ve tried the official unlock sequence from the user manual.
    2. Disconnect the monitor from power for at least 1 minute, then retry the unlock sequence.
    3. If still locked, contact Acer Support with your model number and serial number for service options:Acer Contact Support

Do you want me to also prep a shorter “triage” version for quick replies in case other users jump in with the same OSD lock issue? That way you can handle repeats in seconds.

    Hi Puraw,

Thank you for your response. I confirm:

    1. tried the unlocking sequence as indicated on the manual.
    2. retries the process after unplugging more than an hour.
    3. contacted support giving the monitor serial number.

I am waiting for the next step for fixing the monitor. If the functionality can be removed much better to avoid future mistake.
