Hello,

I'm having the following problem,

I've tried to clone my current ssd to my new laptop i need it cloned due to a piece of software thats not availible anymore.

after the cloning process is completed and i put the ssd (and the original ssd) into the Nitro V15 it does post and give the windows loading logo, however this takes a long time and ends in a bsod with the inaccessible bootdevice.

the bios version is 1.31

the windows recovery does absolutely nothing to help and im really stuck on this.

does anyone know about this problem or have some advice to try

    Hi Massabob
You're hitting a common wall—cloning a boot drive from one system to another rarely works unless the hardware is identical. Different laptops have different chipsets, drivers, and boot configurations. Windows installs itself with those specifics in mind, so when you transplant the drive, it fails to boot properly—hence the Inaccessible Boot Device BSOD.

Also, copying installed programs to another drive or system won’t work. Software needs to be properly installed to register itself with Windows, set up dependencies, and write to the registry. This is basic PC operations—101 for beginners.

If the software you need is no longer available, your best bet is:

    1. Clean install Windows on the new laptop.
    2. Install the software fresh if you have the installer.
    3. If not, consider virtualizing the old system using tools like VirtualBox or VMware—this lets you run the old environment inside the new one without hardware conflicts.

Just enter the BIOS, hit alt+s to see the advanced configs. Then, disable the VMD Controller, save and exit
