If your Nitro ANV15-51 is under the 12 months or extended Acer warranty, then send this laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country to be fixed, if its NOT under the Acer warranty then change the GPU fan for a new one from the list below. and see if that will fix the gpu fan not spinning and working, as the fan must be faulty. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Note that firmware version 1.31 for the Nitro V15 ANV15-51 has been available for some time now:

    Hi Manas,

It definitely sounds like the BIOS v1.26 update introduced an issue with EC fan control on your Nitro ANV15-51. Since you’ve already tried BIOS reset, EC reset, Predator Sense reinstall, and even Windows reset without success, it seems to be firmware-related rather than a software glitch.

Escalating to Acer’s engineering team is the right move—these erratic fan behaviors are usually fixed with a BIOS/EC firmware update rather than user-side tweaks. In the meantime, some users have had temporary relief by limiting GPU usage or using third-party fan control software, but these are not permanent solutions.

Hopefully, Acer releases v1.27 soon to restore proper fan control. Meanwhile, keeping a close eye on GPU temps is important to avoid overheating while the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced the same after v1.26? Sharing your experience might help push for a faster fix.

After updating their Acer Nitro ANV15-51 laptop to BIOS version 1.26 (dated March 21, 2025), Manas reports that the GPU fan now behaves erratically—spinning up to high speed and then slowing down repeatedly, even when idle or using integrated graphics. They’ve already tried multiple troubleshooting steps (BIOS reset, EC reset, Predator Sense reinstall, iGPU mode, Windows reset, disabling NVIDIA services) but the issue persists, and Acer has not allowed a downgrade to BIOS 1.25. It does seem related to an EC firmware bug introduced with BIOS 1.26, and hopefully this can be addressed in a future update. I also noticed in this related thread that other Nitro users experienced similar fan behavior after a BIOS update, which suggests the issue is not isolated and may need an official fix from Acer’s engineering team.
