Acer Aspire 5's touch screen display damaged. Wanna replace with non touch display

My laptop is Acer Aspire 5 A515-56T-7242. It has a touch screen display. The display got damaged. I went around to get it fixed but the touch screen replacement is ridiculously expensive -- like I can buy a new low end laptop with that money. So i really wanna install a non touch display but no one will do it for me. All the Acer centres refused and even the third party service centres are refusing to do it. From my research it's technically possible. So how do I do this? Anybody care to help me out? For the mean time I plan to buy an external monitor, connect it via HDMI and do my work that way. But I would really really love to install a non touch display on it.

PS: Touch screen laptops feel like a giant scam. They're more fragile, touch screen displays are 2-3 times the cost, they drain the battery more and they're functionally useless in a laptop. Never buy a touch screen laptop

Yes you can fit a none touch screen, if you know which is the oem touchscreen brand and model then chose any of the none touchscreen below, as these are all the screens that Acer fitted to the Aspire A515-56 and A515-56G or T models laptops. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Note: if you are going to do a screen change yourself, make sure that you first disconnect the main battery from the mainboard before you disconnect the screen cable from the mainboard, as if you don't you will damage your laptop and it will not boot.

Since replacing your damaged touchscreen with a non-touch panel is unsupported by Acer and rejected by service centers, the best solution is to use an external monitor via HDMI. This avoids any hardware risks and keeps your laptop fully functional.
