    Hi Harkirat_Singh,

From what I’ve seen on the Acer Community, enabling XMP/overclocking on most Acer gaming laptops is very limited. A few points worth noting:

    • Corsair Vengeance RGB SODIMMs – even when rated for 3200 MHz or higher, enabling XMP in BIOS has often caused boot loops or CMOS resets, forcing the system back to JEDEC speeds.
    • Advanced BIOS unlock attempts – some Nitro and Predator owners have found hidden XMP options, but applying them can brick the system or require recovery, so Acer generally leaves them disabled by default.
    • Crucial kits – while the SPD/XMP profile is present, the firmware usually ignores it and runs at the safe default (often 2666 MHz or 2933 MHz), unless the module is on Acer’s internal QVL.

None of the Predator Helios Neo models PHN16-71 13th Gen cpu or the PHN16-72 14th Gen cpu or the PHNS16-71 laptops have XMP specific settings in the bios, so they don't work on XMP overclocked ram. I don't know which exact Predator Helios Neo 16 model you have, but this is the ram specs for these individual laptops, so putting higher speed ram will not increase ram speed and the laptop might not boot, so be careful and only fit the correct spec below listed speed ram. The cpu speeds for these laptops can't be overclocked as they are locked.

    PHN16-7x laptops and

    • PHN16-71 - 13th gen cpu's max DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 type ram (Intel max quoted ram capacity of 192GB)
    • PHN16-72 - 14th Gen cpu's max DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 type ram (Intel max quoted ram capacity of 192GB)
    • PHN16S-71 - Ultra 9/7/5 cpu's max DDR5 6400 MT/s (Intel max quoted ram capacity of 256GB)
