I have predator helio neo 16 i9 14700 ,4060 varient . Only of 4 month use i start having touch pad problem . It start lagging . The cursor feels very hard to point , also it becomes slow to move . When i turn it off and on with f10 , it works for 2-3 minutes and again become same . It works fine with external mouse . I tried every possible way , Uninstalling driver and reinstalling from acer , also windows auto install , but the problem never get fixed . i have kept it at maximum sensitivity in setting . If you have done all the above things like software reinstallations and the touchpad still doesn't work and its the same with an external mouse, then your Predator Helios Neo PHN16-72 model laptop has either a faulty cable, touchpad or a mainboard issue that is restricting its movement, with the external mouse it could be the USB port. I also use an external mouse with my Neo PHN16-71 (previous model to yours) and both the touchpad and mouse work 100% with NO lag.

I suggest that you send your PHN16-72 laptop back asap to Acer Tech Support in your country, and get them to change the cable or touchpad for a new one and also diagnose if there is no problems within the mainboard, as these laptops parts are very expensive for you to replace if the warranty runs out, especially if there is a problem within the mainboard, so get all faults sorted out within the Acer 12 months warranty, Good luck and hope this helps you out.

These are the PHN16-72 model laptops first parts you should get Acer Tech Support to diagnose and/or change if they are faulty.

Thanks for you answer . I said that it works fine with external mouse . Also it works fine for 3-4 minutes when i disable and enable it through f10. Reagarding warranry , the retailer said that i have 3 years hardware warranty and its already been 8 month and i will be busy till 2 month so will they cover the mother board issue id there is till 3 years ..

If you have 3 years warranty then the mainboard should be covered, have a look at the exact conditions of the 3 years warranty, as the first 12 months is the Acer warranty which covers the mainboard and touchpad and its cable. But if the external mouse works through its USB port, then its the touchpad that needs changing or its cable, like I've given you the parts above, so send your laptop to the Acer Tech Support asap and get it fixed, if you can go without using the touchpad. Good luck.

I did many things to solve it , I updated firmware , updated touch pad driver , uninstalled it and let windows auto install it , even i tried installing acer website posted driver , but nothing helped to solve . After toggling it work fine until it get touched by palm or finger with more surface area .

It likely may be due to power management but i am not finding any setting to fix this
