Hi, I have a problem with my laptop. Yesterday, I changed the thermal paste, and when I tried to play FIFA 25 (FC 25), the processor was running at 100% the entire time. Do you have any advice? I cleaned the entire laptop, but nothing changed. don't know what to do.So, I changed the thermal paste and cleaned the fans. Please help. In the background, I have 57% CPU usage and 38% memory usage when I have two browsers open, LibreWolf and Google Chrome. Whenever I play this game, I close everything I can and I don't have any auto-start programs, everything is turned off.

Hi @TOMMEX , Since you’ve already cleaned the fans and replaced the thermal paste, it’s worth checking if Windows is pushing your CPU too aggressively. One tweak that often helps:

⚙️ Disable Performance Boost in Power Settings

    • Go to Control Panel > Power Options
    • Click Change plan settings next to your active plan
    • Then click Change advanced power settings
    • Expand Processor power management > Processor performance boost mode
    • Set it to Disabled
    • Click Apply and OK

This disables Turbo Boost, which can help reduce heat and stabilize CPU usage—especially useful if the system is running hot after repasting. You can also try setting Maximum processor state to 99% to prevent boost activation entirely. Also check that you have BIOS version 1.10 dated 2024/04/29

Let us know if this helps or if the issue persists—we can dig deeper into background processes or BIOS settings next.
