Hi Acer Community,
I'm facing a persistent issue with my Acer Nitro V ANV15-51 laptop (purchased in October 2023).
Here are my system specs:
- Model: Acer Nitro V ANV15-51
- CPU: Intel Core i5-13420H
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4050 (6GB VRAM)
- RAM: 16GB DDR5
- BIOS Version: InsydeH2O v1.31 (27-06-2025)
- OS: Windows 11 Home
Issue:
While using the laptop (even during light usage), the fans suddenly spin at maximum speed and stay that way permanently — even when temperatures are low. The only way to stop it is by putting the system to sleep or shutting it down.
After turning the system back on, the fans again behave oddly: they spin high at boot, slow down briefly, then go back to max speed and stay there.
This started happening after BIOS v1.26 update, and I'm currently on v1.31, but the issue still persists. I’ve tried:
- Cleaning fan vents and inside (hardware is fine)
- Updating and reinstalling NitroSense
- Third-party fan control apps (none detect fan properly)
- Resetting BIOS settings
- Checking for malware / thermal issues (everything is normal)
Questions:
- Is Acer aware of this fan issue introduced in v1.26+?
- Will there be a fix via BIOS or EC firmware update soon?
- Is there any way to officially rollback to BIOS v1.25 to resolve this?
This is impacting daily usability and fan noise is unbearable. Any help or update from the Acer support/dev team would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
