hey guys, i am looking for a laptop charger for my nitro v15, its requirement is around 135 w, i want to find a charger which won't degrade my battery, also, which i can use to charge my phone, and also use the cable for display output. so, suggest me a charger for that, i can use for travelling, don't want to carry the charger anywhere I go.

    Hi Mithu,

🔒 The Nitro V15-51 cannot be charged via USB-C—period.

Even though the laptop includes a Thunderbolt 4 port, Acer wired it only for:

    • DisplayPort output
    • Power Delivery output (for accessories like phones or tablets)
    • No Power Delivery input

This means you can charge accessories from the laptop, but you cannot charge the laptop itself via USB-C, no matter how powerful the charger.

Because your Nitro requires around 135W, you’ll need a dedicated barrel-type adapter to charge it properly.

To protect your battery and ensure stable performance during travel, stick to a high-quality 135W barrel charger. If you’re also hoping to charge your phone while traveling, consider packing a separate USB-C charger or power bank dedicated to that purpose.

No charger will ruin your battery. The laptop is smart enough to charge it carefully.

Regarding USB-C power delivery - this is the most idiotic interface that incompetent bureaucrats forced people to use. It causes unrepairable damage to laptops when the jack is worn and loosened. So be happy with your standard laptop charger with a cylindrical jack, and just bring with you a USB-to-USB-C charging cable to charge your phone from the laptop.
