Dear Acer Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I own an Acer Aspire 1 model A114-33-C01V and would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the RAM or replace the internal eMMC storage with an SSD.

Could you please confirm if my laptop has any available slots or options for:

  • Adding or upgrading DDR4 RAM
  • Replacing or adding an SSD (M.2 or SATA)
  • Extra internal space or connectors available for installing an additional SSD

I would appreciate any details or documentation you can provide regarding upgrade possibilities for this model.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hi @Saugat _shrestha123, thanks for your question!

Unfortunately, the Acer Aspire 1 A114-33-C01V is not upgrade-friendly:

    🔒 RAM & Storage Limitations

    • RAM: The 4GB DDR4 is soldered to the motherboard—no upgrade slot available.
    • Storage: It comes with a 64GB eMMC drive, which is also soldered and non-replaceable.

There are no internal slots (M.2 or SATA) for adding an SSD, and no connectors for additional drives either. If you’re running out of space, your best option is using a USB SSD or a high-speed SD card for external storage.

Hope that clarifies it! Let me know if you need alternatives for lightweight usage or external upgrade suggestions.

Your Aspire A114-33-C01V has a Celeron N4500 cpu and comes oem with 4GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type ram, it can be upgraded to 2x 8GB to a total of 16GB max total. This laptop does not have an M.2 SSD slot that can be upgraded, its got an eMMC Flash Memory Drive that comes oem from Acer with a capacity of 64GB, these eMMC drives are soldered onto the mainboard. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

    Hi @Saugat _shrestha123,

Just to clarify this for you—I've looked into the A114-33-C01V extensively:

    🧠 RAM Info:

    • The 4GB DDR4 is soldered onto the motherboard.
    • There are no DIMM slots, so RAM upgrade isn’t possible on this unit.

    💾 Storage:

    • It has a soldered 64GB eMMC drive.
    • Sadly, there’s no M.2 or SATA bay for internal SSD upgrades.

If you need extra space or speed, external USB SSDs or high-speed SD cards are the way to go. They're plug-and-play and won’t void your warranty.

Just wanted to help clear things up! 😊 Let me know if you want recommendations for compact external SSDs.
