Not sure if this laptop is eligible to be updated to windows 11 as I don't see anything about actually updating it in: settings → windows update, currently it only says to check system requirements for eligibility. It currently has windows 10 home version 22H2. Thanks!

    Hi Denise_12,

Your Acer Spin SP513-52N-33SN does meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11. It has an 8th Gen Intel Core i3-8130U, which qualifies under Microsoft’s CPU list. Additionally, models in this series typically support:

    • TPM 2.0 via Intel PTT (firmware-based, usually found under “Security” in BIOS)
    • Secure Boot, which you can also check in BIOS under “Boot” or “Security” tab

If you're not seeing the upgrade prompt in Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update, try this:

    1. Go to Start, search for Troubleshoot Settings
    2. Click Additional troubleshooters
    3. Select Windows Update → Run the troubleshooter

It’ll scan and fix common hiccups preventing the update. If everything checks out after that, Windows 11 should appear as an available upgrade soon—provided BIOS settings are aligned.

Let us know if you need help checking those BIOS options. Happy to walk you through!

Microsoft dropped support for the 8th gen CPUs with their latest versions. They support upgrading from earlier versions of Windows 11, but not so much with a new upgrade. At the age your laptop is you are likely better off to upgrade to a newer one than to jump through hoops needed to get W11 running on it.
