How Many RAM Slots and Maximum Capacity Does My Acer Laptop Support? ANV15-51-53D

Product Model: ANV15-51-53D

Product Line: Nitro V 15

Product Series: ANV15-51

I'm quite confused because the Acer support website shows that my laptop only has one usable RAM slot (see Picture 1).

However, when I checked Task Manager, it indicates that my laptop is using 1 out of 2 RAM slots (see Picture 2).

I’d like to know which one is accurate: can my laptop accommodate two RAM sticks, or just one? Also, what is the maximum supported memory capacity for my model? I’ve seen other community discussions claiming that this specific laptop can support up to 64GB of memory, but the information on the Acer website seems to contradict that.

Your Nitro ANV15-51 has 2x ram slots and it can take the following ram modules. But the Intel 13th Gen cpu's i5-13420H and i7-13620H, i9-13900H its max speed of 5200MT/s type ram.

The quoted Intel 13th Gen cpu's that your ANV15-51 has its design potential is to run with a max capacity of 96GB (2x 48GB DDr5-5200MT/s type ram) memory theoretically stated by Intel, so and if you want more than 32GB memory capacity, as I'm sure that yourANV15-51 will run comfortably with 64GB ram at 2x 32GB DDR5-5200MT/s. I suggest that you have a look at the max upgradable ram that the Nitro ANV15-51 can be upgraded to at either Crucial ram or on the web. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

This is the official service guide Acer memory specs for the ANV15-51 laptop

Be aware of the M.2 SSD specs of your ANV15-51 as the boot and slave slots are different. The boot drive is a Gen 4 x4 lane M.2 and the slave M.2 is a Gen 3 x4 lane type as shown below:

Hello, thank you for answering my question. However, I'm still quite confused because you've clearly stated that my laptop (ANV15-51) can accommodate up to 64gb of ram (2 x 32gb) but the picture that you've inserted said that one ram slot can have up to 16gb of memory and a total of 32gb.

If you could kindly elaborate and tell me which one is correct I'll really appreciate it. Thank you!

Yes, I know, but the ANV15-51 will also work on a 64GB kit at 2x 32GB per slot. Have a look at the Crucial Acer Nitro V 15 ANV15-51 and use they suggest ram kits for the Nitro ANV15-51 model as they have a 64GB kit, so if you want to upgrade to this ram capacity use their kit as it works perfectly.

The Nitro ANV15-51 due to its 13th gen cpu's max designed memory speed of 5200 MT/s, its best to buy the fastest Crucial 64GB Kit (32GBx2) DDR5-5600 SODIMM kit that will be downclocked to 5200Mt/s speed, as there is no 5200MT/s speed ram, so use this kit. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

Tysm! You've cleared all my confusion,

I don't really know why Acer just don't put the specific details or their products as it will bring confusions to a lot of their consumers.
