Hi, my A315-58-53DC when connected to my StarTech USB3SDOCKHDV will not play sound and just gives me a message that there is no output devices found, very frustrating as i bought this to study and I need two screens attached. The dock works on my Work laptop and my old HP laptop, I really regret buying this machine…

Hi @buyersremorse , Just wanted to drop a tip that might help. The StarTech USB3SDOCKHDV relies on DisplayLink drivers to fully enable video and audio features. While some laptops auto-detect basic dock functions, others (like the A315-58-53DC) may show “no output devices found” until the driver is manually installed.

    🛠 Fix:

    • Visit or DisplayLink’s driver hub to download and install the proper drivers.
    • After installation, restart and check audio again—it usually resolves the issue.

Hope this helps turn things around. Let us know if it works!

Hello, I have now tried this and it does not work. All the docking stations that Acer sell are for USB-C imputs and this laptop which I bought from Very did not have a USB-C port so I'm at a loss. I'm really not happy with this laptop, the number pad is also nothing like any number pad i've used before. Wish I'd never bought it!
