Hi, when entering InsydeH2O Bios, I can access the Advanced menu. The problem is i only see two options: Intel VTX & Intel VTD. Is there any way i could access the other options? I have tried Ctrl+s but nothing shows. Thanks.

    Hi sakingud,

You’re not missing anything—the A315-56 BIOS is designed with strict limits. The “Advanced” tab you're seeing only exposes Intel virtualization toggles (VTx, VTd), and there's no deeper access beyond that without modifying firmware.

⚠️ Modding warning Using patched BIOS tools or “crack-ware” can absolutely brick the system. It also voids your Acer warranty—and since this model lacks a dedicated recovery jumper or blind-flash support, recovery isn’t guaranteed.

🛠️ Why it’s locked Entry-level systems like this rely heavily on EC-controlled power logic. OEMs restrict BIOS access to avoid user-side config issues that could destabilize voltage rails, thermals, or fan curves.

If you're exploring tuning options, a safer path might be OS-level undervolting or throttle management (via Intel XTU or ThrottleStop, if supported). But BIOS unlocking? Too risky here.

The Aspire A315-56 10th Gen cpu and DDR4-2666MT/s type ram does not need either its cpu or ram to be overclocked with additional bios Advanced settings,

These are the memory specs for the A315-56 laptop, if your laptop has 4GB internal soldered ram then you can run a max of 20GB DDR4 ram as specefied below:

The A315-56 does not have a SREP bios patch does not have a config file so that you can unlock the bios properly, so don't try and use any other patches for the bios as you will brick your laptop and you will need a new bios chip. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
