I purchased a predator M.2 SSD from amazon, a GM7-4TB however when i tried to register the product the serial number cannot be located. is there any way to check if it's original or i got scammed?

Hi, Acer typically doesn't support product registration for standalone accessories like M.2 SSDs—even if branded under Predator. This is because the registration system is primarily built for full devices (laptops, desktops) that have embedded firmware and traceable serial info.

    To confirm your SSD's authenticity:

    • Inspect the packaging for Predator branding and security seals.
    • Check the serial number or QR code using a hardware ID tool like CrystalDiskInfo.
    • Run benchmarks via tools like AS SSD or ATTO to match rated specs.
    • If the product was sold as new and the performance lines up with Acer’s official specs, it’s likely genuine.

If the SSD still has suspicious behavior, feel free to share screenshots or model info—we’ll help break it down.

Some further information, for warranty registration the Predator GM7-4TB is manufactured by BIWIN Storage Technology company, so look them up or look at your Predator GM7-4TB M.2 SSD packaging for warranty registration.

But the Predator branded storage products are designed and manufactured by BIWIN Storage Technology company, a leading maker of quality flash memory, DRAM memory and solid-state drives (SSDs). Good luck.
